Question of the Day: Do we like Monday’s?

We’ve all heard or probably said that we hate Monday’s. The beginning of the work week. Day one of five day trip to hell.

But are Monday’s really that bad? If they are that bad, does that attitude reflect in your work performance?

Generally, for myself, Monday is a day to be as productive as possible. Set the tone for the rest of the week. Start new projects. Know that you have the next five days to try and get ahold of whoever you have a hard time getting in contact with, or getting answers from.

From my experience, it seems that at least the industry I work in, peopel work harder on Monday’s and are more productive. I work basically everyday in some form or another, but it is hard to get certain things done when everybody else has taken the weekend off. When Monday comes, not only do I get to contact companies for results, but I get contacted as well. People tend to slack off on Thursday and especially Friday in hopes that they can delay the responsiblilty to Monday.

So back to the main question… are Monday’s really that bad? If so, maybe you just don’t like your job? Maybe you party too hard on weekends? Maybe your priorities are messed up? Or simply, maybe some people just hate Monday’s…

What do you think?
