To get up to date on the relevance of this story, please read Opening a Line of Credit… and then Line of Credit APPROVED!
Moving forward, the bank that approved my line of credit was not my current bank, National City. Unfortunately, unless I want two be associated with two banks, I need to switch. La Salle is the fine group that approved my company’s request.
Doesn’t sound like a big deal, but switching banks is actually a big hassle. I’ve already signed up and deposited money with my new account at La Salle, but closing my old bank account isn’t as simple as just calling them up. Consider that every monthly bill I have that I have on automatic bill payment is associated with National City. My check cards are National City check cards. All of my automatic incoming wire transfers are associated with National City. In short, I have about 2 years worth of ‘associations’ pointing towards National City. It will be a hassle to get everything fully transitioned over….

If you refer back to my old post, Establishing Credit, I took my own advice and started up a Credit Card. That too, unfortunately, is through National City. Yet another thing I need to cancel.
If it’s going to get done, I better start now rather than procrastinate.
