Today marks SEGA Dreamcast’s seventh birthday.

On 9-9-99 SEGA Dreamcast released to to public in North America. Shipping something in the ballpark of 4 million consoles in its first couple months, Dreamcast rocked the world … and for many, still does to this day.

Dreamcast was SEGA’s last home console system. Unfortunately lost to the ranks of PlayStation 2 and eventually Gamecube and Xbox…. Even still, Dreamcast is arguably one of the greatest consoles ever made.

I was working on the computer when shortly after launch, my mom suprised me with a spankin’ new Dreamcast system. Love of my life for the next 3 years. I still enjoy playing my Dreamcast to this day, including party favorites such as PowerStone 2.

Here is to Dreamcast! Happy 7th. ;)

technically Dreamcast can produce more colors on screen than the PS2. Id like to see PS2 try to run Power Stone 2. Long Live Dreamcast!
