A Wayne County judge today ordered Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to jail for violating the terms of his bond by traveling to Canada on July 23.
“If was not Kwame Kilaptrick sitting in that seat, if it was John Six Pack sitting in the seat, what would I do?” said Robert Giles, judge of 36th District Court. “That answers something. I go back to my original keep it simple.”
He revoked his bond and ordered Kilpatrick to jail.
For those of you who do not now, I live in Michigan. The news was playing in the background when it caught my attention. BAM! The decision was made and he is sentenced to jail. Now, he has the right to appeal the decision, but it isn’t looking good.
