One of the properties I’m in process of building is an all ‘media’ only site. Media being video files and audio files. No written content as found on all other web properties. In my industries, there are existing sites that do this. For example… www.gametrailers.com, www.gamevidoes.com, and a few others. Then there is the route of file sharing (uploading vidoes and sharing them with other people) which of course is dominated by YouTube.
The problem and question here is… there is so much money to be made with the expanding market of video advertisements. YouTube is attempting to push in this direction. But I don’t want to try and break into an existing market — I need to think of something innovative. Some sort of twist to make the service new.
Offer original content, allow content to other webmasters, allow viewers to upload their content and share their content. I need something more…..
If anybody is reading this — thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.
